HS GALLERY Lauren Bon & Carmela Herman Work in progress 2002     'Shell Movie' © Lauren Bon 2002 QuickTime Movie (2.6 mb)   Currently Lauren is also working on a series of hand held organically shaped sculptural tools which develop her earlier explorations of a steel sphere. This image is an early iteration exploring casting in brass. Lauren considered the possibility of exhibiting the sculptures with video images of Carmela dancing projected inside them. She sketched the idea using Adobe Photoshop® and iMovie®. Part of the pleasure of this was that the composited image gave the aura of moonlight on water, an effect she is very keen to explore further.
